The Lions Club of Edwardstown is 50 years oldEdwardstown is situated about 20 minutes south from the C B D of Adelaide, half way between the City and the Sea. Set largely in a mixed area of light industrial and residential, the Club was first started by a group of people with their homes and busineses in the area. There are many primary schools and secondary schools in the nearby suburbs of Marion, Ascot Park, Clovelly Park and Parkholme where a lot of our projects focus on the young students around us. We are just ordinary people doing extraordinary things - supporting people with disabilities, community greening and fundraising for worthwhile causes. Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more. Become an Edwardstown LionJoin our Club and you will be in a group of friends who have fun, while helping the local comunity The Club meets on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 6.30 for7.00pm. At both meetings we have a dinner.The first meeting is for business and on the second meeting we have a Speaker or a special Event Both meetings are held at the Marion Hotel, 849 Marion Road, Mitchell Park, South Australia |
